Raïsa Zonnemijn Schoon
Beach volleyball player Raïsa Schoon from Werkendam and her partner Katja Stam became Dutch champions last weekend.
A temporary venue was built on the beach of Kijkduin, where 32 teams competed for the highest Dutch honour under fantastic weather conditions.
After several group stages and knock-out rounds, it was Raïsa and Katja, also the current number three on the world rankings, who were allowed to climb the highest step. This championship is a nice conclusion to an intensive season. Photo caption: Katja (left) and Raïsa with the cup.
