Raïsa Zonnemijn SchoonOlympic beach volleyball player Raïsa Schoon from Werkendam has had an excellent start to the new beach volleyball season. In Tlaxcala, Mexico, she and her partner Katja Stam managed to reach the finals in an impressive way during the Beach Pro Tour Challenge. On the way there, they managed to beat several world-class players. In the final, the Brazilian team Barbara/Carol proved to be just a little too strong, but the Dutch could hardly have wished for a better start to the season.
The next stop for the Dutch top team is the Elite 16 tournament in Rosarito, Mexico. They will play there this coming weekend.
