The last tournament of the 2023 season was played in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The performances in 2023 are so good that Olympic qualification can hardly escape the Schoon-Stam team. They are in a respectable fifth place on both the world rankings and the Olympic rankings, more than enough to be allowed to participate in the Games in Paris in 2024.
As a season finale, there was an international King of the Court tournament in Qatar. This special variant of beach volleyball did not count for qualification, but gave one more opportunity to shine at the highest level. The girls did just that, they eventually managed to win the title Queen of the Court and take the associated crown back to the Netherlands.
In the 2024 tournaments, the team will want to maintain their form and, where possible, climb a few more places in the rankings before showing what they are capable of under the Eiffel Tower.
