Raïsa Zonnemijn SchoonDirectly after the Olympic Games in Paris, the European Beach Volleyball Championship was played in the Netherlands. In three host cities, women's and men's teams competed for the highest European honor.
Raïsa Schoon from Werkendam played with her partner Katja Stam in Apeldoorn and Arnhem. Under the watchful eye of many family and friends, they played a number of beautiful and exciting matches, and reached the quarter finals, which ultimately resulted in them finishing fifth in this championship.
