In the run-up to the Olympic Games in Paris next summer, a number of important tournaments will be played at the highest level. These Elite-16 tournaments, in which the 16 highest-ranked teams in the world participate, form a prelude to the balance of power, and for some teams are still important for qualification for the Games.

Raïsa Schoon from Werkendam has now qualified together with her partner Katja Stam. They finished in the top four teams in the last three tournaments, and with that they show themselves to be serious medal candidates.

Last weekend, the Dutch women won a handsome bronze medal in the strongly occupied tournament in Espinho in Portugal,
